Well I remember Zell from when I was around at whatever point that was but I don't think I ever had him on my msn but I do have a few others on my msn like Matt C though I haven't heard from him in a while, but I do talk to chaos from time to time and he seems to be doing alright though a little bored I think but otherwise okay.
And SN1F is also on there from time to time though I haven't chatted to her in a bit and maybe I should drop her a message and see if she wants to pop round to the old FS homestead, the others are ones that are already here like Leonhearte, Leoncross or that brother of Crimson Samurai and him as well.
Wouldn't mind bring a few of those guys back but I don't know if I can or not as I don't know their reasons for leaving but who knows maybe they'd like to pop around for a visit sometime.

I haven't had much contact with the old members.
I remember Crimson Samurai, Leoncross, ElvenGirl, Odin, Drizzt Do?Urden (the original one), Squall's Legend, good'ol Chaos and a few others whose screen-names elude me to this day.
Out of the list I talk every-so-often with ElvenGirl, but with uni and work I generally haven't had time to proper chat on msn these days lol.
God I miss the RPs here, I used to spend hours reading and writing in them. Some I even just fully spectated because they were too awesome to get involved in ^^
But Oroden is right though, the past is the past with great memories and all that. What we need is to try to breathe fresh life into this place so that new members will come and stay and hopefully someday we might rival the golden age of FS.
Maybe a new RP....or reuse one of the classic RPs? Hmmmmmmm....

Yeah but the problem with the idea of a new rp would be that we may not have enough people to play one out and I'm not even sure all the people that are here are role playing people so that'd just make having an rp up useless, because I was going to put up an rp once I returned because back in the day the main place you could find me was in the role play section so I remember either being in or writing some of the rps in there including the award winning ones.
So yes we should breathe life into the forum in way of new style but I don't think a role play is going to cut it since not everyone that came to FS was here forr the role plays like some of us, but that'd mean a little more advertising etc at places that get a lot of traffic without breaking any rules. And then we'd have to make the place look appealing and not as desolate as it seems to be most days though how we go about this really isn't my field of expertise but I'm sure someone can think of something, cause I know we should have a fair amount of brain power in here somewhere.

I think we can only really count on Square Enix to replenish this forum. People have to be searching for Final Fantasy, and then secondly, the main site has to have decent content. It rarely gets updates as far as i know

You can update the main site yourself y'know. We changed to a Wiki format a while ago. which was seemingly a mistake.

Tada
Yeah, I had already left before it became a wiki, but I had notice the change. To be honest, it came across as a bit lazy.
My point still stands though, if SE provide the material, FS is needed for content covering it. I'm not sure SE has been providing enough

I realise that this is somewhat of a nercopost, but I think given the circumstances, y'all can forgive me.
As of a few days ago, myself, Tim, and a few others (including good old Luke here) have been conspiring to bring this place back to what it used to be with a whole lot more.
Things will change, things will get better, and we're going to make this place awesome once more. Keep an eye out for an announcement post sometime soon.
On a completely unrelated note:
Oroden, I believe you are either KAMIKAZE or Rob. Confirm / deny?
Cheers,
EvilChookie / Norco.

It matters not who I am Dave and I am not going to say in public, though I'm surprised a number of people think I'm Rob, John or Mark (Draco, Kamikaze, Sentofuno).
Long time no see my old friend.
If there is any chance such an online "meeting" can happen again between you, Luke and Tim, do drop me a PM on this forum. I'll see if I can attend. If I make it, there's a number of things I have to discuss with all of you and most of all Tim. And to stop tormenting poor Luke, I will tell all of you who I am and the reason I'm keeping it secret for now, provided that it stays among us four.
I will perfectly understand any uneasiness, given you still don't know who I am, but trust me, you all know me (or rather used to know me) very well and would probably like to hear what I gotta say about the whole situation with FantasySquare. Better late than never... some things have been on standby for many years and I will gladly let them out.
Now that I think of it, the only one who might be 100% certain who I am (not just randomly guess) is Tim, but that's only if he stayed in line with the clues I've been giving in my posts in the last months. Of course I haven't talked or even seen a post from Tim since 2003.
At any rate... drop me a PM Norco. And keep that Squeaky Hammer of yours sheathed.

Wow... I miss all of those people.
So has anyone found out who you were, o mysterious stranger? You aren't Dave? I'm not going to guess, as I have no idea.
Though like the Blues Brothers, would be cool to "get the band back together."

Hello Rose. I still haven't got the chance to chat it out with Luke and Dave, real-life obligations got me really bad in the last couple of weeks. I'll probably be able to spend more time here after a few days though

Hello mysterious person.
I know a lot of you don't know me well, but that doesn't negate the fact that FS has made a meaningful impact on my life. This is why I've returned.
The FS I knew was active every day, and although that FS seems long gone, the fact that it is still around says something. I think all of the people here can attest to that.
I've made a lot of good friends I hope to meet one day. I'm glad me and Luke stayed in touch like we have, as I wouldn't have returned without him. Though, that doesn't mean I'll ever forget FS and all of the people there.
The people in FS have come and gone, and hopefully will come again. Some have touched my life more deeper then others. I met my ex on FS, and although we have no contact now, I think of those times fondly. I remember Dave/Zell and how good friends we were and how we got each other though some hard times.
I have hope that FS will become active again. If it does not well... in the words of George Harrison, all things must pass.
And that's ok.
But I think that there are some good times yet to come.

I know this is an old post but wow! This is the first time I've ever heard a successful story about making and meeting friends through a forum (with the added bonus of travelling). It's really a shame that things haven't kept on. All good things must come to an end.
