What do you think about the music they've chosen for the game?

To be honest it's a big change from the usual Japanese music were so used to in FF games but with the English accents in the game I personally think it really fits well.

If you're not sure what I'm talking about have a look at the latest European trailer with a song sung by Leona Lewis.

Didn't she do a song for Avatar as well or is it the same one?

Personally I probably wouldn't have gone for her (this is not by listening to the music) as I think perhaps there are more suitable artists. I also haven't really forgiven her for the poor version of "run" that she did.

Still it suits the Japanese market, Europe....Not everyone is going to think it's a good choice but you never know. Will have to  check the trailer before I make further judgement.

She sucks... especially with the obvious gospel choir that she always seems to have. I cannot stand X Factor and all that kind of thing. It totally cheesed up that trailer, beyond the usual line even.

I don't like it, you won't be able to convince me otherwise. I just can't stand her and I can't believe they put her on my favourite game franchise, it is as simple as that!

hasn't got anything to do with Final Fantasy XIII or with the rest of the series.
It even sounds out of place in the trailer.

Seriously though, what is up with this? One of the things I liked about FF was the music, especially the songs that were unique to the series, regardless of language.

But to pick a song of the shelf and say "This shall be the title song of our next series installment" is absolutely horrible. Why does the X-Factor finalists have to be EVERYWHERE?!

I cannot believes this. I tell you what, when it comes to the most emotional part of the game where that song will play, I'll end up muting the tv and finish the game like that.

Honestly....Leona Lewis?!

I somehow doubt it's going to be the "theme" or "title song". Square might be stupid, but they're not retarded.

How many trailers for movies out there have songs that aren't on the soundtrack?

Alright, I suppose I'm one of the few that love the song's addition to the game, but I'll support my side.

The song "My Hands" goes along with the theme of the game's story perfectly. They were wanting a song to complement the story's focus on character's emotions. The song focuses on one single powerful emotion. Love. And that's what Final Fantasy XIII's all about.

Here's the beginning;

"I wake in the morning
tired of sleeping,
Get in the shower
and make my bed alone.

I look in the mirror
put on my makeup,
Ready for a new day
without you and I...

walk steady on my feet
I talk, my voice obeys me.

And when I think I'll be alright,
I am always wrong 'cause-

Point here is, I like it.

Sounds like FFVIII has been dethroned as THE Final Fantasy with a love theme, when you put it that way, though I suppose that can be up for debate.
