Thoughts on the Sphere Grid?

Not my favourite way of making your characters stronger, simply because some of your characters had to wait a while before learning ANYTHING on their grid route. Even basic upgrades to stats.
I don't hate it as much as I used to though.
Anyone else like this, or hate it?

I found it to be alright, and it is apparently easier if you send Kimarhi down Rikku's or Lulu's path in the beginning. I think it was Rikku.

One of the easiest ways to train everyone is to make sure they have at least hit something. So for instance if you just want someone to get xp, start off with them, make them hit a target and swap them out.
I found Kimahri a bit more useful down half of auron's and then wakkas as then you have an accurate heavy hitter. Still the advanced sphere grid is better for him.
