This referring to a Story Arc or to one of the NPCs that you run into? sort of a trick question from the looks of it....


But anyways, if you mean regarding the storyline (could be wrong, but I'm a bit fuzzy on the sidebits since I haven't touched FFVIII in close to a year I think), Irvine mentions that he only junctioned a GF recently(emphasizing that Junctioning GFs had the side effect of causing Amnesia, since the essence of the GFs would form in the Junctioning person's mind, the location that retains memories), when he joined up with Squall and co., so he was able to describe, in detail, where they all came from (Edea's Orphanage), and felt bad that everyone else (save for Rinoa, who didn't know the pack at the time) forgot about him, which is why he kept it to himself.
