My favourite FIGHTER of FFVI was definitely Umaro, Cyan being a close second.

My favourite character (as in background storyline and attitude) was Shadow. Can't get enough of the awesomeness of that guy, plus his "mysterious and silent" manner reminds me of FF7 Vincent.
