FINAL FANTASY IX HELP

If I have put this in the wrong place then could one of the Administrators or Moderators please put this in the right place and then let me know.  Thank you.

I was wondering if you lovely people could help me please?  I was reading through the Final Fantasy IX Guide the other night and was wondering if you could please tell me where I could get some of the character’s Action Abilities and Support Abilities.  Below are what abilities the characters currently have.  Details are on my website for you to have an idea what I am talking about.  The link as follows:

http://bekki3000.tripod.com/index.html and it is under new page title.

Your help with this will grateful and if you ever need help in the future the I will try to help in any way that I can.

NOTE: I am on Disk 3 raising characters before I go and see Kuja and face the boss The Ark at Oielvert.

Thank you for your help.

Currently doing Final Fantasy VI walkthrough and no PC at the moment so it is hand written

I will be less active in these forums as there is nothing for me in hare any more.
I will pop in from time to time though.
To have great friends in this forum is the only thing that is keeping me going.

Stickied the topic.

If you have the official guide then the ability locations will be in there....possibly on the weapons + armor lists.

Well first of all a number one SUGGESTION:
Either kill off two of your party members and head north of the continent that youre supposed to be on... that should put you on the Icy Continent.
(Mods, correct me if Im wrong on that). Then walk around until you meet the Vepals( big Green bird-dragon creatures).
DO NOT forget to equip *BODY TEMP*
another suggestion if your black mage is low in level bring him along with a *Cyprus Rod* it teaches him ALL the _ _ _AGAS.
The * Dark Hood* can teach him the ability *DEATH*
Try to get all your characters evenly matched-high in level and stats
When you go further into the game your going to need more status protection abilities.
I know... Because I just passed where you are... Youre on for a tough ride!
I love basketball. My favorite player and Idle
is Wilt Chamberlain. The greatest sports game to me is NBA Ballers. My fav. Final Fantasy is VI. My favorite RPG is Star ocean:Till the End of Time. My favorite meal is a fresh cooked soulfood dinner! Other then that McDonalds will do. I play for a basketball team in the summer.
And your right, Im no Wilt Chamberlain...............I'M HIS STUDENT.

Forgive me....
the *Octagon Rod* teaches the _ _ _ AGAS while the *Cyprus Pile* teaches *DEMI*, *BREAK*, and another good one but I forget but I dont think you can quote twice...can you? IF so Ill check quick and get back to you
OH... and one more thing! on the 2nd or 3rd disk get the *Thief Gloves*. they teach you *MASTER THIEF*( helps you steal better items). If you equip that with BANDIT... youll steall more frequently AND get better items.
As you level up DO NOT forget to equip some of the abilities that help out your characters the most. for example your mages could use
MP%10-20, Auto regen, loudmouth, locomotion, and jelly. youll find out why if you go to ABILITY, then EQUIP, highlight with the cursor
then press SELECT. if you need more help let me know. BUUUUUUUUT...Im not a whole lot farther than you right now! We're pretty much at the same spot! LOL! Good luck

Okay... Im back. there is also a place called *Diguerro* or something like that. It's by the same place where the *Water Shrine* is. It's got a *bridge going into the mountain, with water-falls going down each side of the cave* It is by the *FORGOTTEN CONTINENT*. A little southwest of the ARK.
Anyway there is a synthesist in *Diguerro* that can synthesize your old items into new ones.
Get the * Black Robe* and the *White Robe* They both boost your defenses greatly. The *Blck Robe* teaches *FLARE*, *x2REFLECT*, and something else thats important.
The *White Robe*teaches Holy
Ill be right back...

Quoting yourself doesn't excuse the triple posting. There is an Edit button there for a reason (adding extra bits to your last post). Use it.

Going back on topic. The hidden city is called *Diguerreo* and when you have high enough levels go to the *Shimmering Island* and youll have a choice whether you want to be sucked in or not( completely up to you) Choose Follow through with the plan and youll get sucked down into the hidden world *Terra*
!!!!!!WARNING!!!!!! Enemies down here can kill each of your characters in one blow! BEWARE of enemies attack(Blue Magic/Eat:*Delta Attack*(Have NOT tried yet but it IS one of those attacks that can kill you in one hit. The Moogle Moo...something is hiding in the town in the *HUT CLOSEST TO YOU*.to find the town just head to the right when youre looking for a place for Garnet.
Anyway, the Moogle has some pretty good weapons,armor,charms/add-ons,and items if you need any. IF you saved up enough Gil, then you WILL need the weapons and armor.
!!!!!BACKTRACK!!!!! if you did solve the puzzles in Diguerreo and you have alot of *Ore* then
you can speak to the watergod and exchange every one of them for some *Aquamarine*
(These cure pretty well) Having the character Eiko in your party and having the spell *Jewel* will extract alot of *Ore* from the enemy.
Oh.... as I learned from someone really cool S.A.S.O.( Save And Save Often)
I thank him everytime I play final fantasy! With that... you should try it too

Cannot extract that ability btw. the moogles name is Moorock.
And the peridots cure more HP for me.
Hmmmmm.... ohh, yes the S.A.S.O plan for FF VIII. It pretty much works for an real hard boss or enemy.
I believe i learned it from Dark phoenix.
but back on topic. do NOT forget to steal every boss fight for they carry 1 maybe 2 items that you cant get til later in the game. also doing the choco hot and cold out in the field raises your adventurers rank(or something like that:)  for when you DO reach diguerreo. make sure to defeat ozma so you can speak to the
unknown synthesist( dont forget to steal from it either XD)

*modifying....*
if you jogged my memory a bit on what happened in your DISK 3 file, then i CAN and WILL be able to help you with some of my own strategies and what not.
*MODIFICATION....COMPLETE*

I know that I may be breaking a rule here but since I have done this topic I have completed the game so now this is just a general FFIX help thread.  I asked the original question becuse I was stuck at the time but manage to get myself pass it.  To all the above posts thank you for help but like I said at the beginning this is now a general help thread of the game.

Thanks

Bekki

What would be you guys suggestion in getting Save the Queen? I know you have to get to the last level within 12 hours to get it but that's just a bit of a pain. So what would be a good way of making it?

no that's how to get excallibur 2,in memoria in the area that looks like it's underwater. go to the right and along the rock, a voice will tell you to go away insist that you'll stay, fight and defeat him and he'll open a shop where save the queen can be made. all you'll need is a javelin and silver gloves
